New Shelter Veterinarian

We are delighted to welcome John Strathman, DVM to our agency. Dr. Strathman will provide veterinary services to the shelter animals Monday-Friday. A 1985 graduate from Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Strathman is an experienced shelter veterinarian who most recently worked for Contra Costa Animal Services Shelter and Spay & Neuter Clinic. He has worked for our agency in the past, performing surgeries on the Mobile Animal Center (MAC) and assisting with relief work at the agency. Dr. Strathman is a member of the Association of Shelter Veterinarians and has been an active volunteer for Compassion Without Borders, a nonprofit animal welfare group dedicated to sterilizing animals in Mexico. Working with the shelter staff, Dr. Strathman will help us continue to elevate our medical treatment and disease control protocols and improve the level of care for the animals.
